Sony details what to expect at PlayStation Experience 2017

In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Sony has revealed a little of what fans can expect at PlayStation Experience 2017. This year is the fourth anniversary of the event and it will run for two days on December 9 and 10.

Fans who managed to get a hold of an Early Bird ticket will be given exclusive access to a special presentation. Kicking off at 8 am PT on Friday, December 8 (3 am AEDT Saturday, December 9) the presentation will be hosted by PlayStation Worldwide Studios Chairman Shawn Layden. It will give fans an update on all things PlayStation and feature special guests and some surprise announcements.

Attendees of PlayStation Experience 2017 will be able to go hands-on with “the next wave of PS4 and PS VR games.” Though exactly what games that includes is unclear right now. The PlayStation Experience 2017 will also feature upcoming PlayStation games from Sucker Punch Productions and Media Molecule.

While they’re likely not playable, Ghost of Tsushima and Dreams will appear at PlayStation Experience 2017 in some form. The show has been increased in size by 50% this year and will accommodate all new areas like the GT Sport competition space and a larger PlayStation Experience 2017 Gear Store.

Over the next few weeks keep an eye out for more announcements including details on “developer panels, autograph signings, merchandise updates, Capcom Cup” and more.

PlayStation Experience 2017 will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center on December 9 and 10.
