Monster Hunter World release date and pre-order bonuses revealed

Capcom announced today that Monster Hunter World will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One in January 2018 with a PC release to follow. Pre-orders have opened today and pre-order incentives will be applicable for both the standard and newly announced special editions.

At TGS, a brand new trailer was shown (above) which gives fans a glimpse of some new monsters and Astera; the Research Commissions base of operations. In the trailer fans also got a chance to see Pukei-Pukei and its deadly tongue and the Nergigante. The Coral Highlands stage was also shown to give players a sense of the beauty and scale being put into the stages.

In Monster Hunter World players will be able to use a host of gear and equipment. This includes the Glider Mantle which extends hang-time after a jump and can also be used to catch updrafts.

Br pre-ordering Monster Hunter World, players will unlock the Origin Set Armour and the Fair Wind Charm talisman. The collector’s edition will also come with a voucher for the Deluxe Kit which contains the Samurai Set, three emotes, sticker sets and additional cosmetic options for the hunter. The collector’s edition also comes with an art book, monster statue and OST CD.

Monster Hunter World will be available for PS4 and Xbox One from January 26, 2018.
