Activision and Sledgehammer Games are gearing up for the launch of Call of Duty: WWII’s Private Beta. It begins tomorrow morning, Saturday 26 August, at 3am on PS4. To prepare yourself for the beta, Activision has advised that it is now available for pre-load.
The beta is only available to those who pre-ordered CoD: WWII and will launch for Xbox One players on September 2. The first bets weekend will close at 3am AEST August 29. The second weekend begins at 3am AEST on September 2 and ends at 3am AEST September 5. The second weekend will be available to both PS4 and Xbox One players.
Those who take part in the beta will be rewarded with a Beta Combat Pack when the game launches. The pack includes a special helmet, Calling Card and Emblem.
Battle for the Ardennes
The beta will include three maps to do battle on; Ardennes Forest, Gibraltar and Pointe du Hoc. Players will also be able to take part in the all-new War Mode. It’s here that players will need to work together to defeat the enemy.
In the beta, players will do battle for the village west of St. Lo in France. The village is a strategic location in the Allied push from the beachhead at Normandy. Players will need to consider their equipment and will need to make sure they are focused on the correct tasks in order to succeed and snatch victory.
War Mode is narrative driven and objective based and is the first mode of its kind for Call of Duty.
Call of Duty: WWII will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on November 3, 2017.
