Micro Machines World Series’ second trailer will take you back

Remember Micro Machines on Super Nintendo? That game was ridiculously good. Driving around tracks on pool tables and in bedrooms, dodging oversized everyday items and fighting with your brothers all at the same time.

My absolute favourite track was the one set on the dining table. You’d have to dodge puddles of milk and avoid stray cereal if you wanted to win. Damn it was good! Thankfully, the wizards at Codemasters are bringing Micro Machines back with Micro Machines World Series. Set for release in June, the second gameplay trailer has been released and you can view it above.

The best news though is just how much it reminds me of the classic games. Codemasters’ Art Director Stuart Campbell revealed that the game will include brand new tracks in addition to classics like the classroom and pool table.

New locations like the workshop complement Micro Machines classics like the games room and classroom. Dodging pool balls while trying to shoot a G.I. JOE MOBAT has never looked so good or felt so fun!

A first for the series though are customisable vehicles and cars that each control, drive and play differently to one another. There are 12 different vehicles to choose from and each one has a distinct driving style and set of weapons. Hasbro branded NERF weapons will be scattered across every track and will allow players to do battle with their opponents. Also included from Hasbro will be tracks based on a Ouija board and Hungry Hungry Hippos.

Micro Machines World Series will be launching for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on June 23, 2017. I can hardly wait.
