NBA 2K17 embraces gadgetry with VR and Fitbit integration

2K has announced that it’s bringing two new NBA experiences to fans this month; VR and Fitbit integration.

Available now, NBA 2KVR Experience is available for PSVR, HTC Vive and Samsung Gear VR and aims to immerse players in the world of NBA.

Joining NBA 2K17 cover star Paul George at the Indiana Pacers’ stadium, players will take part in a range if mini games and get tips from George.

2K has also partnered with Fitbit to encourage NBA 2K17 players to be more active. Any player who manages to reach 10,000 steps in a day, as tracked by their Fitbit, will receive a temporary stat boost to their MyPLAYER.

Players simply need to connect their Fitbit with NBA 2K17 on PS4 or Xbox One and after reaching 10,000 steps will be rewarded with +5 to their stats for the next five games played.

NBA 2K17 and NBA 2KVR Experience are available now.

I've been playing games for the past 27 years and have been writing for almost as long. Combining two passions in the way I'm able is a true privilege. PowerUp! is a labour of love and one I am so excited to share.
