Dishonored 2 update adds custom difficulty and New Game +

Bethesdsa has announced that a December update for Dishonored 2 will include the ability to set a custom difficulty and give the option for New Game +.

While no specific date was announced for the update, Bethesda did reveal that New Game + was a common request from players. Given that Dishonored 2 stars two protagonists and the only way to see the complete story is to replay as both, it’s odd that New Game + wasn’t built in from the beginning.

Another odd omission, is the lack of mission replay options. The first Dishonored included the ability to replay any mission and Arkane’s Harvey Smith said on Twitter that he was hoping to add the function soon.

Finally, the PC issues that have plagued Dishonored 2 since launch seem to be getting under control. Patch 1.1 was released last week and 1.2 will be launched soon.

Dishonored 2 is available now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
