The Deer God prances onto PlayStation in 2017

Australian developer Blowfish Studios’ 3D pixrl adventure title, The Deer God will be released for both PS4 and PS Vita in 2017.

The Deer God is the story of a hunter who, while hunting a buck, is killed and meets the titular god. Reincarnated as a fawn, the hunter must stay alive in a procedurally generated pixellated world.

As the player progresses and the fawn ages, it is able to mate with a doe and produce offspring. These offspring act as an extra life, should the fawn die.

More than 1.5 million players have downloaded The Deer God across mobile, PC and Xbox One. It will launch for PS4 and PS Vita in Q1 2017.

I've been playing games for the past 27 years and have been writing for almost as long. Combining two passions in the way I'm able is a true privilege. PowerUp! is a labour of love and one I am so excited to share.
