Overwatch’s D.Va is coming to StarCraft II as an announcer

Blizzard announced today that Overwatch’s StarCraft prodigy Hana ‘D.Va’ Song will soon be available in StarCraft II as an announcer.

As part of patch 3.7, D.Va will join Abathur, Raynor, Artanis, Kerrigan, Swann and Alarak as announcer’s for StarCraft II with D.Va serving as the first ever announcer to exist first outside StarCraft’s lore. Just because she’s not from the world of StarCraft, doesn’t mean she’s a stranger to it. Before joining Overwatch, Hana Song was the top ranked StarCraft player in the world.

At the age of 16, D.Va became the #1 ranked player in the world and proceeded to go undefeated for the next three years in all competitions. D.Va is an international star, beloved by her fans at home and abroad, and has toured in exhibitions around the world. Recently, she has taken a step back from competition to focus on her commitment to protect the safety of her homeland.

As part of patch 3.7, players will be able to place portraits in-game rather than a clan logo. D.Va’s portrait will be available exclusively at BlizzCon. Attendees will receive the D.Va announcer and portrait and will be able to purchase the announcer add-on at a later date.

You can listen to a selection of D.Va’s lines below.

BlizzCon will take place from November 4 through 5 in Anaheim.
