Watch this PS5 Pro Unboxing from GrizGaming

The PS5 Pro is just around the corner. Coming out on 7 November 2024, the PS5 Pro is the next evolution in PlayStation consoles and a step up from the OG PS5 which launched all the way back in November 2020.

Remember those days, when you weren’t allowed outside and only had Zoom and videogames to connect you with the outside world? Well, with the PS5 Pro launching, you’ll probably live like that all over again, only this time by choice.

Costing a whopping $1199.95 AUD, the PS5 Pro is disc-free, has a 2TB SSD and “features an upgraded GPU to make games run smoother, advanced ray tracing that improves the dynamic reflection and refraction of light, and AI-driven upscaling with PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution that provides super sharp images with extraordinary detail.”

PS5 Unboxing

With all that extra grunt under the hood, the PS5 Pro will enhance select games including, “The Last of Us Part II RemasteredGran Turismo 7Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and Hogwarts Legacy, and more.” Our fearless console expert, Adam Mathew (aka GrizGaming on YouTube) has gotten his hands on a PS5 Pro unit early (thanks to PlayStation Australia) and has produced the great unboxing video above.

He has also vigorously sampled at least a dozen PS5 Pro-enhanced titles already and put the PS5 Pro through its paces. He’ll have a more in-depth article looking at all aspects of the PS5 Pro live from 6 November at 10 pm AEST. So be sure to check back then.

For now, enjoy the video above and watch Adam unbox the PS5 Pro in all its ‘professional’ glory.

A PS5 Pro Test Unit was supplied by PlayStation Australia.
