Hi-Rez announces SMITE TACTICS

Hi-Rez Studios is today announcing a new entrant into the SMITE franchise; SMITE TACTICS.

A turn based tactical strategy game set within the SMITE universe, TACTICS will feature PvP, PvE, multiplayer, a story driven campaign and more. Featuring a cast of characters taken directly from SMITE, players will see Gods face off against one another on a new type of battlefield.

Scott Lussier, Lead Designer said of the title, “We’ve always wanted to expand the SMITE universe. SMITE has millions of fans worldwide, and with SMITE Tactics, players will get to experience mythological warfare from a whole new perspective, overseeing battles as their favorite gods and goddesses while wielding their signature abilities.”

Playing TACTICS will require player so to deploy minions onto the battlefield and decide which of their gods will lead them. Each of the units is unique and the card based unlock and upgrade system will allow players to customise and build their armies before getting into the fighting.

SMITE TACTICS has been built for play with either a keyboard and mouse or controller and is currently accepting applications for a closed beta to be held later this year. Sign up here.
