New Gamer Fortress Venue Coming To Sydney Next Summer

After a troubled launch in Melbourne due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Fortress has gone on to become a massively successful staple in the lives of Victorian geeks. Fortress blends together the vibe of a licensed bar and restaurant with a fantasy clubhouse dedicated to all things gaming. Themed trivia nights, competitive multiplayer sessions, VIP gaming booths and more are set out across the two-story Melbourne location and now Sydney is set to get its very own Fortress.

Fortress Set To Open New Sydney Location

The news came by way of the Fortress Twitter account this morning and we’ve since learned through a press release of the impressive undertaking. Fortress Sydney will encompass just under 3000sqm, making it the largest video games and entertainment venue in the southern hemisphere. Located at Central Park Mall on Broadway, Fortress Sydney is set to expand on what made the original venue so impressive in the first place.

Via press release Fortress CEO and Co-Founder, Jon Satterley explained that “…Fortress Sydney will be the jewel in our crown. It will be an awe-inspiring new ‘home of games’ – the epitome of everything we have worked towards. The ultimate statement in live games culture entertainment.” The two-story venue is set to open next summer and will feature fantasy tavern themed hang out spots alongside sci-fi bars, an Alienware PC gaming zone and much, much more.
