Destiny 2: The Witch Queen Season Pass not unlocking for some PlayStation players

Destiny 2’s latest expansion The Witch Queen is finally here. Available today, The Witch Queen introduces the Season of the Risen, raises the Power Floor to 1350, adds Void 3.0 and has Guardians facing their greatest threat yet, Savathun.

After the longest Destiny 2 season yet, last year’s Season of the Lost, players have been anxiously waiting to get stuck into the new Season and new content. However, there’s been a slight hiccup in the launch of The Witch Queen.

Unfortunately, due to an unknown error, the Season Pass for Season of the Risen is not unlocking for some PlayStation players. This is occurring across both PS4 and PS5 with no answer as to how to fix it yet available.

Destiny 2 Season of the Risen Season Pass Unlock

I have received a code for the Deluxe Edition of The Witch Queen from Bungie and can confirm that I am unable to access the locked content on the lower half of the Season Pass rewards track. The Deluxe Edition includes;

  • Instant unlocks:
    • Exotic SMG, Catalyst, and Ornament
    • Throne World Exotic Sparrow
    • Throne World Ghost Shell
    • Enigma Exotic emote
    • Legendary emblem
  • Access to Seasons 16 (Season of the Risen), 17, 18, and 19
  • Two dungeons releasing in Year 5

Speaking with a Bungie representative, it is confirmed that the issue is global and is affecting players across the PlayStation ecosystem. This includes players who have purchased the Season Pass directly from the PlayStation Store.

Both Bungie and PlayStation are working on a fix and will hopefully have an update for players shortly.

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen is available today.
