To celebrate the launch of Xbox Cloud Gaming in Australia, Telstra has announced it is bringing back the popular ‘X Marks the Spot’ campaign. The competition encourages players to follow a series of clues to find one of 10 hidden cloud gaming packs, hidden in virtual locations around the internet.
The clues, to be revealed at 12pm, Friday 1 October 2021, will lead treasure hunters to a special treasure trove of goodies. The first eligible hunter to locate each ‘X’ will be able to choose between a “Samsung Galaxy S21 5G smartphone or an Xbox Series S console as the main prize, and combine it with the Razer Kishi gaming controller and a 12-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.”

Telstra has been named as the exclusive telco partner for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and is giving first-time subscribers one free month of Ultimate (normally $15.95 AUD/month) which grants access to Xbox Cloud Gaming and more than 100 Xbox Game Pass titles.
The original Telstra ‘X Marks the Spot’ saw 10 lucky winners hunting for hidden Xbox Series X consoles. The 10 clues and solutions for the original competition are;
