Observer: System Redux is a launch title for PS5 and Xbox Series X

Bloober Team, developer of Layers of Fear and Blair Witch, has announced Observer: System Redux, the expanded and upgraded version of Observer, will be available as a launch title for both PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Originally launching in 2017 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One then later on Switch, Observer is a horror game set in the future after a deadly plague known as the nanophage. Playing as a member of the special Observers squad of the Krakow police, players need to hack into the minds of suspects using the Dream Eater to interrogate them.

Observer: System Redux features improved visuals, new content and enhanced gameplay.

Observer: System Redux

Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babineo said of the release on next-gen consoles;

Making Observer: System Redux available for next-gen console players has been a huge focus for the team. Now that both the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 release dates are out there, we can finally share our release date news. We know next-gen pricing is a major concern for our fans and we feel that releasing all the new content and upgrades in Observer: System Redux at the same cost as the original Observer is a great way to stay close with our community.

Three brand-new missions will be added to Observer: System Redux; Errant Signal, Her Fearful Symmetry, and It Runs in the Family. Character models will be updated and upgraded and there will be new locations to explore. Additionally, System Redux will support 4K and HDR and will feature ray-tracing, new animations and all-new effects.

Observer: System Redux will also include English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean at launch.

New gameplay from the upgraded version will be shown during Tokyo Game Show 2020 Online.

Observer: System Redux will launch for PS5 on November 12, 2020 and for Xbox Series X on November 10, 2020.
