First gameplay footage from Planet Coaster: Console Edition revealed in new trailer

Frontier Developments has lifted the lid on Planet Coaster: Console Edition’s gameplay in a new trailer. The gameplay trailer shows Planet Coaster: Console Edition and a brief look at its UI, while celebrating the creativity and light-heartedness the game is known for.

The console edition Planet Coaster is coming to PlayStation and Xbox (both current and next-gen) later this year. Having achieved critical acclaim on PC, Frontier is bringing all the fun and excitement of running a theme park to consoles. Just like on the PC, Planet Coaster: Console Edition has an emphasis and focus on “piece-by-piece construction.”

This gives players “limitless freedom.” Players can sculpt and create the ultimate amusement park and then experience the action for themselves thanks to the “physics-driven realism and advanced simulation.”

Planet Coaster: Console Edition

Like Frontier’s other sim games — Planet ZooJurassic World Evolution — players can tinker with all aspects of the park from the cost of food, gifts, merch and more.

You can’t do it alone though and players will need to hire staff, train them up and “exceed guests’ expectations in the quest to build a unique and exhilarating coaster empire.”

Planet Coaster: Console Edition will be available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X Holiday 2020.
