World of Final Fantasy screenshots reveal Snow, Tifa, Shiva and more

Square Enix has dropped a boat load of screenshots from the upcoming PlayStation exclusive, World of Final Fantasy.

The images depict chibi versions of Tifa from Final Fantasy VII, Snow and Shiva from Final Fantasy XIIand Rhydia from Final Fantasy VI. The screens also show the characters performing various attacks and exploring the locations in Grymoire.

World of Final Fantasy is a hybrid of Pokémon and Yo-Kai Watch. Players will explore the world of Grymoire to uncover what happened and why everyone has vanished. Playing as either Lann or Reyn, players can choose to exist in chibi or true form. In chibi form, Lann and Reyn can ride on the top of the larger creatures, known as Mirages, if they befriend them.

When players come across a Mirage, they will need to battle using Active Time Battle (ATB) and weaken the Mirage until it reaches an “emprismed” state. Once in this state the Mirage can be captured and used to battle with Lann and Reynn. The size of each Mirage is useful when players create different “stacks” for battle. By stacking up to three characters at once, players can create devastating combos of attack power and take massive amounts of damage.

Make sure you scroll through every image in the gallery as there are a whopping 57 of them.

World of Final Fantasy will be available for PS Vita and PS4 from October 28, 2016.
