A second KartRider: Drift beta kicks off in June

Following the success of the KartRider: Drift closed beta in December 2019, Nexon America has announced a second closed beta will be held this June. This beta will again be held via the Nexon Launcher and will also include Steam and Xbox One players. Additionally, the closed beta will include cross-platform play.

If you’re keen to check the beta out, head to the KartRider: Drift website to register. If you were accepted into the first beta, you’ll automatically be included in this one.

Successful players will be notifed via email and will be able to download the beta on June 2, 2020 at 12 pm AEST.

KartRider: Drift Beta

The closed beta will introduce a brand-new character, Diz, to players as well as add new skins, karts and tracks. Players will also get a chance to checkout the Racing Pass and the new single-player mode; Racing School.

Nexon America is hoping to show off customisation as a large part of this beta with players able to access wraps. Wraps “allows racers to paint their karts and create unique designs for maximum personalisation. Participants will also have access to kart upgrades including choice of license plate and can decorate their karts with a lineup of new accessory balloons and character emotes.”

Those who log in during the closed beta period will earn special rewards including, “a Turbo Tortoise Kat, Bunny Buggy Kart, Simian Scrapper Kart, and Deuce Coupe Kart.”

The KartRider: Drift closed beta starts on June 3 and runs until June 10.
