Codemasters has just unveiled F1 2020, the latest game of the officially licensed Formula 1 motorsport. Alongside the standard career mode comes the inclusion of My Team, a new feature where you’ll be able to create your own team from scratch and represent them as a driver-manager.
It’s also been announced that in the traditional career mode, it will be possible to race in shorter 10 or 16-race seasons, should you wish to progress through seasons quicker. The full-length race calendar is still available.
In shorter seasons, players will be able to choose what races to participate in.
F1 2020
As in years past, Codemasters will continue the trend of paying homage to the classic Formula One cars and champions of the past. And to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Formula One World Championship, F1 2020 looks back on the career of the legendary Michael Schumacher, with four of his most iconic cars set to feature in the deluxe edition.
The first of seven-time World Champion’s cars is the 1991 Jordan 191, the car which he made his debut at the Belgian Grand Prix. Also included are the cars with which the German won his first three titles with the 1994 Benetton B194, the 1995 Benetton B195 and the 2000 Ferrari F1-2000.
F1 2020 is set for release on July 10, 2020, for PS4, Xbox One, PC (Microsoft Store and Steam) and Google Stadia, the first appearance on the platform. And with the season out of action at the moment due to COVID-19, it’s not a moment too soon.
