Microsoft wants to look after its fans this Valentine’s Day. Whether you’re riding solo or have found your perfect co-op partner, Xbox Game Pass has something for you. Valentine’s Day is a day to celebrate love, partnership and your significant other so Microsoft has dished up five titles that are perfect to play together. Or, if you’re all alone, they’ll at least let you escape from reality for a few hours.
Sorry.
First up is Bleeding Edge. The beta is launching on Valentine’s Day and this PvP brawler from Ninja Theory is best played together. Looking like it comes from the same headspace as Sunset Overdrive, Bleeding Edge is an over-the-top multiplayer brawler in which players;
Synergise with your teammates to become an unstoppable force in the face of your enemies – freeze foes in time, control minds, ride missiles and unleash electrifying guitar solos in exhilarating action combat that rewards technique, timing and teamwork.
Anyone with an Xbox Game Pass subscription will automatically gain entry to the beta from February 14.

If you think your relationship is strong enough to survive, you might want to try Overcooked 2 instead. In our review we wrote;
Overcooked 2 is a game that will create evenings all on its own, it’ll help you decide who you want to spend more time with, and who isn’t being invited over next time. It will turn friends into enemies and best friends into brilliant rivals.
As Microsoft puts it, “If you’re still speaking to one another after playing this game, you know you’re meant to be.
Borderlands: The Handsome Collection includes both Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and features so much gameplay and content that you’re going to need more than just one Valentine’s Day. Both titles include classic Borderlands shlooter gameplay and plenty of comedy to boot.
Just try to avoid the loot ninjas.
This one is more for those loner types…Monster Hunter: World. Sure, you can play co-op but you’ll be playing online. Without couch co-op, you’re really spending time by yourself and so, your Valentine’s Day will be a solo.
Finally, Minecraft is a great, relaxing way to build your relationship while you build…whatever you want. Try not to fight over who builds and who mines though. Maybe take it in turns?
This Valentine’s Day, if you’re a gamer and your partner is too (or will put up with some games for an hour or so) get onto these Xbox Game Pass titles and spend some quality time.
If you’re alone, well, all of these games are great solo too. And again, I’m so sorry.
