The Surge 2 wants you to get ready for launch with a look at its story

Following the events of the first game, The Surge 2 is set in Jericho City after the launch of the Utopia rocket and the spreading of the deFrag nanovirus. Because of this, life on earth is about to end. You play as a mysterious hero with amnesia who seeks to find the truth about the city, the virus and more.

Jericho City is on the brink of destruction. Nano-cultists are on a rampage and the government forces of A.I.D. mean to keep control by any means necessary.

Your character meets Athena and together, they make their way through Jericho City.

The Surge 2

We recently spoke to director Jan Klose about The Surge 2 and he told us a little about what to expect.

I cannot tell too much about that right now, but we really tried to emphasise the lore of the world a little bit more and try to figure out a little bit, if we would have this world in the future where the future does not look so bright, what would people turn to?

What would their new gods be? What would their ideas of salvation be? We came up with a faction that really believes in technology but in a sort of religious way.

The Surge 2 will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on September 24.
