Angelina Jolie returns in Maleficent 2 teaser trailer

Disney has unleashed the new teaser for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and it shows Angelina Jolie back in fine form as the dark fairy.

Also returning for Maleficent 2 is Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora. New to the cast are Michelle Pfeiffer, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Harris Dickinson and Ed Skrein.

According to Disney, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil takes place “several years after the events of Maleficent.” The sequel continues to examine the relationship between Maleficent and Aurora and give greater context to one of Disney’s greatest villains.

Set to hit cinemas on October 17, 2019, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is directed by Joachim Rønning  — Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales — and based on a story by Linda Woolverton; Beauty and the Beast (1991), The Lion King (1994).
