The Fortnite Reboot Van is coming next week

After thieving Apex Legends’ ping system, Fortnite is now stealing the respawn system by adding in the Reboot Van. Coming to Fortnite next week, the Reboot Van can be used to resurrect a teammate should they die during your match.

Much like Apex Legends, the Fortnite Reboot Van will require players to pick up their squadmates’ ‘Reboot Card.’ Also like Apex Legends, once you have the Reboot Card, head to the Reboot Van and if you survive you can revive your dead teammates.

The Reboot Van will be added to “major points of interest” on the map and once activated will play an audio and visual cue.

Once the Reboot Van has been activated, the sound and lights will be a beacon for other nearby players. This will mean that even though you’ve brought your squadmate back to life, other players will be coming to get you.

However many Reboot Cards you’re holding when you activate the van will see your squadmates appear, one-by-one, on top of the van.

Once a van has been activated, it will be unavailable to use for a period of time. Additionally, any rebooted squadmates will be unarmed so if you’ve revived them you’ll need to drop some of your weapons to get them back in the action. Lest they end up dead again.

The Reboot Van will be added to Fortnite next week and Epic is asking for fan feedback on the new feature.

Fortnite is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch and Xbox One.
