Dirt Rally 2.0 Season Pass for Season One slides onto consoles next week

Codemasters has unveiled the Dirt Rally 2.0 Season Pass. The Season Pass covers what Codemasters is calling Season One, with Season Two content to follow at a later date. Season One includes five new vehicles, three new rally events and three special liveries for select vehicles.

The Season One contents will be rolled out every second week starting March 12 with the Citroën C4 WRC. This is the vehicle Sébastian Loeb took to four consecutive Drivers’ Championships from 2007 to 2010.

You’ll also get the Škoda Fabia WRC as used in the manufacturer’s final season in the World Rally Championship in 2005. The run of content will continue its fortnightly cycle until May 21, ending with the Germany Rally stage.

Time to get frosty

The addition of Rally Sweden will bring a new surface to the game, as the first circuit in-game driven on snow tracks. We will likely see special snow tires added as a result.

The two vehicles add to the many classic WRC vehicles included in the game. Codemasters’ Ross Gowing said that the studio “[is] delighted to bring back two iconic rally cars,” adding that “they make a fantastic addition to the legendary car roster”.

The content available as part of Season One is listed below:

  • March 12: Citroën C4 WRC, Škoda Fabia WRC
  • March 26: Monte Carlo Rally, special livery
  • April 9: BMW M1 Procar WRC, Opel Manta 400, special livery
  • April 23: Sweden Rally
  • May 7: Ford Focus RS WRC, Subaru Impreza WRC, special livery
  • May 21: Germany Rally

Those who own the Dirt Rally 2.0 Deluxe Edition will receive all Season One content at no charge, as well as the unannounced Season Two content, which has “a similar level of content” as Season One.
