Scalpers are selling Kingdom Hearts 3 PS4 Pro consoles on ebay for insane prices

Last weekend, PlayStation Australia announced that the special Kingdom Hearts 3 PS4 Pro console would be available in Australia. Shortly thereafter, both EB Games and JB Hi-Fi announced that they would be stocking the console.

JB Hi-Fi was first to open pre-orders for the Kingdom Hearts 3 PS4 Pro and quickly sold out. However, the retailer advised that there would be limited numbers of the console available in select stores.

EB Games opened its online pre-orders a day after JB and was sold out after a short time. Both retailers limited purchases of the Kingdom Hearts 3 PS4 Pro to one per customer and both charged $659 AUD.

However, it looks as though some enterprising scumbags have taken it upon themselves to try and make some money off these collector’s edition consoles.

These consoles won’t even be released for over a month, yet there are already listings for them on eBay with prices as high as $2000 AUD. That’s a more than 300% markup on the recommended retail price.

There’s only one word for this; greed.

It’s unbelievable that someone would buy this console and try to sell it for so much more than it’s worth, rather than let a real fan purchase it from the store.

Unfortunately, it’s the nature of the free-market and means that some poor Kingdom Hearts fan is going to spend way more on this console than they should.

I sincerely hope no one buys these consoles at these inflated prices.

Kingdom Hearts 3 will be released on January 29, 2019.
