Two million players travel to Britain in Forza Horizon 4’s first week

Forza Horizon 4 launched just one week ago on October 2 and both Microsoft and Playground Games have been overwhelmed by the reception the game has received. In the first week alone, two million players have driven on the roads in Forza Horizon 4’s digital Britain.

In my review, I scored Forza Horizon 4 a 9.5/10 and said;

Forza Horizon 4 is a deep, engaging, complex and nearly perfect racing game. There is a near limitless stream of content for players to get into and just when you think you’ve seen everything it has to offer, Horizon 4 gives you something new.

Now, others around the world have shared in the fun and Forza Horizon 4 seems to be an overwhelming success.

Forza Horizon 4 Stats

In addition to the two million players jumping on board in the first week, Microsoft also shared some other interesting stats.

  • More than 4.6 million hours of Forza Horizon 4 gameplay have been watched across Mixer, Twitch, YouTube and Facebook
  • Players have logged more than 822.7 million miles
  • More than 4.1 million properties and 74.4 million cars have been purchased in-game
  • More than 377.7 million roads discovered

Microsoft and Playground Games were keen to stress that this is just the beginning for Forza Horizon 4 as new features will be added shortly and over the coming months. This will keep the game fresh and fun and keep players coming back for more.

One of the most requested features by fans, the Route Creator, will be available in-game on October 25.

According to Microsoft and Metacritic, Forza Horizon 4 is the highest rated exclusive for Xbox One and Forza is the best selling racing franchise of this generation.

Forza Horizon 4 is now available and is included with Xbox Game Pass for both Xbox One and Windows 10.
