Battlefield V won’t have a season pass

Battlefield V details are coming thick and fast today. We just brought you the reveal trailer and now we can announce that there will be no Battlefield V Season Pass.

According to Jeffrey Grub of VentureBeat, Battlefield V will only include cosmetic items, no pay-to-win and no Season Pass.

The Battlefield Premium Pass has been a staple of the series for a long time now and it’s a big change for DICE and EA to do away with it.

It’s purely speculation, but perhaps the Star Wars Battlefront II debacle gave the publisher pause and caused it to reconsider its strategy regarding Battlefield V.

In any case, with a game that looks as good as Battlefield V and does not include the additional purchase of a season pass and map packs, you can bet that fans will be even more happy to purchase a copy.

Battlefield V is coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
