Dark Souls Remastered delayed for Nintendo Switch

Bad news everyone. Bandai Namco has announced that the Switch version of Dark Souls Remastered will be delayed.

The PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions remain on track for release next month.

In a tweet from the official Dark Souls account, the Switch delay was confirmed.

Dark Souls Remastered Delayed Switch

The reason for the delay of the Switch version isn’t entirely clear.

The tweet claims that “the nature of causality” is to blame. And it’s not just Dark Souls Remastered that will be delayed.

The Solaire of Astora amiibo will be delayed alongside the game.

The Dark Souls Twitter account goes on to say that “Rest assured, this time will ultimately be used to improve your journey to Lordran.”

The release date for Dark Souls Remastered on Switch is now simply Summer 2018. Dark Souls Remastered will be the first title in the franchise to be released on a Nintendo platform.

It was announced during a Nintendo Direct as was the amiibo and Network Test. With Dark Souls Remastered delayed for Switch, it’s unclear if the Network Stress Test will go ahead.

We’ll bring you more news as we have it.
