The Spyro Trilogy Remaster teasing continues

There’s no end in sight for the teasing of the Spyro Trilogy Remaster. First came the report that the Spyro Trilogy Remaster was going to be announced in March.

That didn’t happen.

And more recently, some journalists received strange, scaly purple eggs from someone named Falcon McBob.

In investigating these eggs, it was discovered that the name belonged to a Twitter account with the handle @SpyroTheDragon. Here’s where it gets even more interesting.

Spyro Trilogy Remaster

Falcon McBob initially followed no other accounts, but yesterday it started to follow the official Crash Bandicoot account. Stranger still, the Crash Bandicoot account followed Falcon McBob back.

The official Crash accont only follows 15 others including Bobby Kotick, Eric Hirshberg, Twitch, PlayStation and Skylanders.

We’re not done yet though, because today Falcon McBob tweeted to the Crash account. The tweet is below.

As you can see, the image is of Crash Bandicoot and reflected in his eyes is the image of Spyro. Aside from currently being owned by Activision, Spyro and Crash share a history.

A secret demo for Spyro the Dragon was included in Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped on PlayStation 1. To access the demo, players needed to press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Square at the title screen.

With the release of the Crash N. Sane Trilogy, data miners discovered secret Spyro the Dragon code hidden in the game. So far nobody has been able to access the code, but the fact that it’s even in there is pretty telling.

Let’s hope the Spyro Trilogy Remaster gets an official announcement soon.
