Rumour – MediEvil Remaster to include MediEvil 1 & 2, pre-orders open in April

As with all rumours, take this with a grain of salt. It’s being reported that the PS4 MediEvil Remaster will include both MediEvil and MediEvil 2 and will be open for pre-orders from April.

The rumours come from both Wal-Mart and Target customer service who were questioned by fans. Obviously, these sources aren’t entirely reliable, but the information from both align, so the rumour may be true.

MediEvil Remaster

The MediEvil Remaster was announced in December 2017 and Shawn Layden called MediEvil “a really important title.”

We think Sir Daniel needs one more resurrection and this is the time to do it. Serendipitously, I’d already had this one baking in the oven and then I saw all the pressure and thought this was a great time to talk about it.

The remaster will include 4K support but no release date was announced. Now, it appears as though MediEvil Remaster may be released on April 30 with pre-orders opening on April 19.

There is also some suspicion that the remaster will be unveiled at PAX East which is on April 5.

According to both Wal-Mart and Target customer service, MediEvil Remaster will be available for pre-order on April 19. With PAX East on April 5, the timing certainly makes sense.

Wal-Mart customer service chat has also stated that MediEvil Remaster will include MediEvil 2 and that it will be released on April 30. If this is all true, revealing MediEvil Remaster at PAX East, then opening pre-orders two weeks later and then having the game on sale two weeks after that does make sense.

For now, everything not officially announced by PlayStation should be taken at face value. Hopefully, the rumours are true, but let’s not get our hopes up too much.
