Rick and Morty PSVR Release Date
Essentially, Virtual Rick-ality is a puzzle-solving adventure with some shooting elements in VR. And who doesn’t want to step into the shoes of a Morty clone?
Originally released for PC in April 2017, the Rick and Morty PSVR release date is April 10, 2018.
Virtuak Rick-ality is a standalone adventure and doesn’t follow the plot of any of the episodes of the Rick and Morty TV show. It does, however, feature a cast of familiar faces and take you to some familiar, if odd, places.
Development on Virutal Rick-ality began after series co-creator, Justin Roiland, invited Owlchemy Labs to his house to play video games.
Roiland was a fan of Owlchemy Labs’ Job Simulator and a VR enthusiast and after their get together they wanted to collaborate.
Owlchemy Labs’ Alex Schwartz told Polygon last year that working with Roiland seemed a natural fit.
The game takes place in Rick’s garage, and instantly you would associate all the things that are great about Job Simulator, all the near-field interactions … Rick’s garage is filled with tons of stuff to play with. Chemistry sets and just boxes of things on the shelves. Elements from the show. It’s fully crammed in there.
Owlchemy Labs was especially proud of the way players can walk through portals. Schwartz explained that players can even stick their heads through the portal, take a look at the new world and seamlessly move into it.
Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality is coming to PSVR on April 10, 2018.
