Two new Monster Hunter World videos from TGS features character creation, exploration and more

Capcom has been using the Tokyo Game Show as a bit of a showcase for Monster Hunter World. Over the weekend, the developer gave fans a look at all new monsters and gameplay that had not been previously unveiled.

The video above demonstrates Monster Hunter World’s robust character creation tools. The video gives us a look at the range of options available to players as the demonstrator creates an elderly man and then a young female hunter. The video also includes customisation options for players’ palico.

The second video (below) takes viewers on a tour of Astella. The city was built on the remains of a research expedition. The tour shows viewers Astella’s forge where players can craft and improve equipment and weapons. It also shows the archives that allows players check their bestiary.

Both videos include plenty of gameplay footage of course, but if you’re a fan of Monster Hunter cooking, then make sure you check out the second video.

Monster Hunter World will be available for PS4 and Xbox One on January 26, 2018. A PC release will follow.
