Super Mario Odyssey Guide – Check out some of the things you can capture

PowerUp! was fortunate enough to go hands-on with Super Mario Odyssey and in doing so, we saw a few of the captures in the game. using Cappy, Mario is able to capture an enemy and possess them in order to make use of their skills.

This opens up a huge number of avenues for puzzles, exploration and more. We don’t know how many characters Mario will be able to capture in the finished game, but we’re betting it’s a lot. In the video above we show you just a few from Cap Kingdom, Luncheon Kingdom and Seaside Kingdom.

We managed to capture a frog, Goombas, Fireballs, a telescopic viewing platform, Cheep-Cheep and Octopus. Unfortunately, we don’t have footage of them all, so you’ll just have to trust us. Oh and Goomba stacking? Just as fun as it looks.

Super Mario Odyssey will be available for Switch on October 27, 2017.
