Big Ant has announced some very big news. The studio’s first-ever licensed title will be Ashes Cricket coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One in November. Ashes Cricket will utilise the studio’s photogrammetry technology to create photo-realistic likenesses of both the men’s and women’s Australian and English cricket teams.
Ashes Cricket will also feature fully licensed stadiums that have been recreated in incredible detail. In addition to the Ashes competitions, players will be able to create players, teams, stadiums and logos to compete in custom matches.

We’ve worked hard to build on our existing experience with cricket to deliver a truly realistic game of cricket to our fans – Big Ant CEO, Ross Symons” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””][/perfectpullquote]
A fully featured career mode will also be on offer that will see players rise up through the ranks from a junior player, all the way through to representing their country in the Ashes. The title has the support of both Cricket Australia and the English and Wales Cricket Board. Cricket Australia’s CEO James Sutherland said “Cricket Australia’s new strategy recognises the growing role that gaming can play in reaching younger fans, and by working with the likes of Big Ant to develop products that meet this need we are positioning ourselves as leaders in the cricket gaming space globally.”
ECB Commercial Director Sanjay Patel said: “We want cricket to be relevant and accessible to the e-sports generation, helping us develop an even bigger nationwide following for the game at every level.”
