Aussies head into battle in Wargaming’s APAC Season 2

The battle is on for $200,000 USD and some the competition if fierce.

Wargaming’s World of Tanks APAC Season 2 kicked off last week and sees eight teams facing off for the top three spots. Season 2 culminates in the playoffs on March 26, 2017, followed by finals to determine the best three teams.

The best three will be flown to Moscow to battle three teams from Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), 3 from EU, 2 from NA and the winners of the Champions Rumble; Tornado Energy.

Season 2’s format has been altered and teams will now compete in a triple round robin, facing off three times throughout the season. One team competing in APAC Season 2 — Team Efficiency — is an Australian team and has previously gone up against the might of champions EL Gaming in November 2016 and performed far better than anyone imagined.

Can they take it further in Season 2? Here’s hoping. Fans can check out the Season in English via Wargaming’s dedicated streaming channel.
