Uncharted 4 will add a horde mode next month

It’s been revealed on the PlayStation Blog that Uncharted 4 will have a new horde mode added next month.

The new mode will debut at the PlayStation Experience in Anaheim which runs December 3-4. The mode will be called Uncharted 4: Survival and will feature 50 waves of increasing difficulty. The enemies you’ll face are standard humans such as Shoreline mercs, brutes and snipers.

Survival will feature 10 maps and is split into 10 groups of five waves. You’ll be able to save your progress as you go too, meaning you can take a rest and come back later. As is standard with Uncharted, once you complete it on Hard, you’ll unlock Crushing.

You won’t just be fighting to stay alive in Survival though, as the mode will throw out objectives and gameplay modifiers to make things more interesting. You’ll be tasked with defending certain areas, collecting treasure or killing certain baddies. You can play with friends or AI.

Uncharted 4: Survival is a free add-on and will be released sometime next month.

Uncharted 4 is exclusive to PS4.
