Perth Panthers and Melbourne Matildas make their World of Tanks ANZ Premier League Grand Final debut tonight

The World of Tanks ANZ Premier League Season 3 Grand Final is on tonight. The Melbourne Matildas will face off against the Perth Panthers in both teams’ Grand Final debut as they compete to be ANZ Premier League Champions for Season 3.

Throughout the season, the Matildas and the Panthers have been solid performers. However, Wargaming describes the Panthers’ season as a Cinderella story. “The Perth Panthers are writing their own Cinderella story, sneaking into the playoffs on the very last day of the regular season, before shocking the back-to-back defending ANZPL champions, the North Sydney Sentinels, in a dominant 4-2 victory in the semi-finals.”

The Matildas placed dead last in the first season of the Premier League, so to finish as one of the top two teams in Season 3 is an amazing turnaround.

The Matildas aren’t the only team in this grand final familiar with last place. In Season 2, the Panthers finished at the bottom of the ladder. They were heading for the same fate in Season 3 until a dramatic turnaround late in the season.

World of Tanks ANZ Product Manager, Jake Truman called Season 3 the “most surprising and captivating yet.”

“This will be a genuine East Coast vs. West Coast finale with both teams hungry for the win. We expect plenty of star power as well, with three of the five Fantasy League ‘Team of the Season’ players playing for the Matildas or Panthers,” said Jake.

The Grand Final Winners will receive a $10,000 AUD cash prize, seven Hero Black edition gaming chairs and seven HyperX custom ANZPL Alloy Origins 60 keyboards. The runners-up will $5000 AUD and seven HyperX custom ANZPL Alloy Origins 60 keyboards.
