A New Lego Star Wars game reportedly in the works

LucasFilm’s Matthew Wood was appearing on stage at Star Wars Celebration and accidentally blurted out that “there’s a LEGO Star Wars game we’re working on.”

There have been five LEGO Star Wars games Lego Star Wars: The Video Game, Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, Lego Star Wars II Mobile, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars and Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The most recent title was The Force Awakens and it was released in 2016. In addition to covering The Force Awakens, the game also covered the period of time between ROTJ and TFA.

New LEGO Star Wars

The Last Jedi film has not been adapted into a LEGO video game, which is odd considering every other film has been. Fans are speculating that this new LEGO Star Wars game could include every episode thus far and new content for The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker.

For now, all we have is Wood’s comment to go on, but more LEGO Star Wars games is always a good thing. Here’s hoping it’s something great like Rebels.

What do you think?
