World of Warships Legends Enters Early Access in April, Closed Beta in Late March

Wargaming’s naval combat title for consoles, World of Warships Legends, will be entering early access in April. Wargaming made the announcement today, alongside the reveal of a late March date for the commencement of the final round of closed beta testing.

From March 22 through 24 players can take part in the final closed beta test for World of Warships Legends. According to Wargaming, over 200,000 battles were fought during the December closed beta test. The publisher is hoping to break that record during this final closed beta period.

To have a chance to play during the closed beta, simply register at the official website. This second closed beta period will include the British, 14 additional ships and Russian and French language support.

World of Warships Legends Early Access

After the March closed beta, World of Warships Legends sails full steam ahead into Early Access.

From April 16, players will be able to download the Early Access client from the PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store. There will also be a variety of Founders Packs available for those who wish to purchase it. These include;

  • Premium
  • Deluxe
  • Ultimate

Different tiers of content will be available with each edition including up to two months of Premium time and four rare warships.

When World of Warships Legends enters Early Acess, players will be able to battle across five new maps and play with HDR support on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. 4K resolution will be supported later in the year.

Daniil Volkov, Head of Development at Wargaming St. Petersburg said of the launch;

We’ve worked tirelessly to bring the naval combat enjoyed by millions of players around the world on mobile and PC to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

We have introduced a substantial number of console-exclusive features to World of Warships: Legends, which we hope will add new dimensions to the series, whilst preserving the core gameplay that players know and love.

According to Wargaming, World of Warships Legends is being built from scratch for consoles and to take advantage of the power of PS4 and Xbox One. Check it out in Early Access in April or try your luck at getting into the closed beta later this month.
