In spite of the controversy Star Wars: Battlefront II is the best selling game in Australia this week

Star Wars: Battlefront II is the best selling game in Australia for the week ending November 19, 2017. The game managed to achieve this feat in the face of incredible fan backlash and controversy. The controversy is regarding the in-game progression, loot boxes and microtransactions.

Apparently having the most downvoted Reddit comment of all time isn’t enough to keep the fans away. Battlefront II takes the top place and pushes Call of Duty: WWII into second. A few new entries make it into the top 10 this week including Pokémon Ultra Sun/Moon and LEGO Marvel Super Heroes.

Super Mario Odyssey remains in the top 10 in tenth place while Skyrim on Switch takes out the sixth spot. The top 10 is provided by IGEA and powered by The NDP Group Australia.
