Nintendo and UNIQLO partner to give away an NX

Clothing brand UNIQLO has partnered with Nintendo for its annual t-shirt Grand Prix for 2017.

The competition is open to anyone in the world regardless of age or nationality with entrants needing to submit their very own Nintendo themed t-shirt design.

There are a variety of rules and guidelines. but of particular note is that the designs should not feature characters from different games.

“Characters from different games may not coexist in one design. Example: Mario and The Legend of Zelda should not exist in one T-shirt design. However, Mario and Luigi may be used in one design.”

Whether Super Smash Bros. constitutes a loop-hole is not specified.

The Grand Prize winner will receive $10,000 USD, an invitation to attend an awards ceremony in Japan, a Nintendo NX signed by Shigeru Miyamoto and a special commemorative prize. The second place winner will receive $3,000 USD, an invitation to the ceremony and a signed NX and third place will receive $500 USD.

The winning designs will be chosen by Miyamoto-san and a special judging panel. The competition is open from July 1, 2016 until 1am AEST August 31, 2016.
