Fujifilm instax mini 12 is launching in Australia this month

Fujifilm has announced the upcoming launch of the new instax mini 12, “a new generation of the much-loved instax mini instant camera.” An upgrade from the hero mini 11 model, the mini 12 has been designed with a “variety of colourways [to] bring a joyful experience for instax lovers.”

Designed to take the perfect selfie, the instax mini 12 includes a front mirror so you always look your best. A range of other features has been included in the instax mini 12 to ensure you’re always taking the best possible pictures.

Automatic Exposure and Close-up mode are just two of the features of the instax mini 12 designed to help users get the most out of the camera.

To make using the instax mini 12 even easier and more user-friendly, Fujifilm has launched the UP! app (Google Play & App Store) that lets users scan their favourite instax pictures and save them to their smartphone. Fujifilm promises, “The app won’t compromise the ‘soft touch’ instax effect and will convert them to digital with the signature instax frame.”

within the app, you can add background to your prints, and customise to make them even more special to you. With the press of a button, your physical instax prints are now digital and can be viewed any time, anywhere! You can also now upload your favourite instax prints directly to social media from within the instax UP! app.

The mini 12 will be available in five pastel colours; Lilac Purple, Pastel Blue, Blossom Pink, Mint Green, and Clay White. Camera cases in each colour will also be released for users who want to bring their camera with them.

  • AUTOMATIC EXPOSURE FEATURE
    • Automatic Exposure will correctly determine the exposure for any given background you are capturing, ensuring the vibrancy of everything in the frame. By sensing the level of ambient light when the shutter button is pressed, and optimising the shutter speed and flash output, the mini 12 can take photos optimally exposed to the main subject and the background.
  • TAKE YOUR CLOSE-UPS TO THE NEXT LEVEL
    • Taking the perfect close-up just got easier with Close-up Mode, as the instax mini 12 includes this feature that prevents any discrepancy between the viewfinder field and the print-out area. Simply by rotating the lens one step, this mode activates and allows you to easily enjoy close-up shots without having to shift the centre point seen through the viewfinder.

The Fujifilm instax mini 12 will be available from April 6, 2023, for $119.00 AUD SRP. The camera cases will retail for $19.95 AUD.
