TikTok launches new in-app gaming hub highlighting gamers across Australia & New Zealand

TikTok has announced today that it has launched an in-app gaming hub to highlight the talents of gaming content creators across Australia and New Zealand. Located in the Discover tab until October, the gaming hub on TikTok will showcase the best videos from local creators as well as a dedicated gaming playlist for creators to soundtrack their own videos.

According to TikTok’s data, the hashtag #Gamer has over 76.7 billion views on the app and other hashtags like #fortnite and #fifa are close behind.

Videos on TikTok with the Minecraft hashtag have been viewed 159 billion times. So it’s safe to say, gaming is big business on the platform.
