Razer Sila Gaming Router brings WiFi smarts to your home

Razer makes some of the most extreme gaming peripherals and the new Razer Sila Gaming Router doesn’t buck that trend. The Sila is the first gaming router Razer has made and is designed to eke the highest performance for gamers, streamers and businesses.

To do this, Razer has packed the Sila full of nerdy specs. Features like Multi-channel ZeroWait DFS and Intelligent Active Steering promises interference and lag free connections for all your applications and devices at any given time.

Razer FasTrack continuously adapts and prioritizes your applications or devices to ensure that you are getting the best Quality of Service(QoS) at any time. What this means is that if you are busy in the middle of a raid in Destiny 2, your connection won’t be interrupted by the kids watching cartoons on Netflix.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been dropped out of a session because the WiFi to my Xbox dipped. FasTrack will ensure that never happens again.

But a huge appeal of the Razer Sila is the mesh capability which will do away with shady WiFi coverage. Regular WiFi routers have a small effective broadcast range with huge drop offs the further away you are.

Razer Sila comes with Tri-Band Mesh which means it can be paired with another unit to greatly extend your WiFi coverage; effectively blanketing your house in a mesh of strong signal. Razer says two Sila can effectively cover 6000 square feet while three Sila will cover 9000 square feet.

And the cherry on top of all this breadth of capability is a handy mobile app to manage the Razer Sila. Control passwords, guest and device access easily with iOS or Android phones.

Key Features:

  • Razer FasTrack – Intelligent continuously adaptive QoS with Deep Packet Inspection prioritizes applications & devices for high-speed gaming & streaming
  • Multi-Channel ZeroWait DFS – Get additional bandwidth on protected fast channels for reliable, interference-free, lag-free connections
  • Tri-Band Mesh with Dedicated Backhaul – For widespread coverage with maximum performance
  • Intelligent Active Steering – Ensures client devices are always connected to the strongest signal
  • App and Smart Software Support – iOS & Android app with advanced features for guest network & security controls

The Razer Sila is available today at a retail price of AUD $439.95 / NZ $499.95
