Microsoft confirms it will announce Forza Horizon 4 at E3 2018

In a recent interview with Gamereactor, Microsoft confirmed it will announce Forza Horizon 4 E3 2018.

 Xbox division head in Spain and Portugal, Fernanda Delgado told Gamereactor that the sequel will see the light of day at E3 2018 and that fans will be getting a tonne of info on the title.

A new Forza Horizon is not a surprise, but it’s nice to know that we’ll be seeing something of it soon. Not too long ago, a rating for Forza Horizon 4 appeared on the Brazilian Ratings Board, though it has since been deleted.

Forza Horizon 4 E3 2018

Forza has become a yearly franchise in recent years. It alternates between the mainline series and Forza Horizon with Forza 7 releasing last year and Forza Horizon 3 the year before.

When asked about Forza Horizon 4 Delgado said;

There have been many speculations about where the next Forza Horizon will be and that is what we will tell later at E3

This in itself isn’t exactly a confirmation that there’ll be a Forza Horizon 4 announcement at E3, but it might as well be. Forza Horizon is a series that focuses on the arcade side of racing and is set in various exotic locations around the world.

So far, Forza Horizon has taken place in Italy, Colorado and Australia. There has been speculation that the next game may take place in Scandinavia or Japan though nothing has been confirmed.

Forza Horizon 4

The developer of Forza Horizon 4 is unknown and the developer of the previous entries, Playground Games is an unlikely candidate.

In November 2017, Playground Games announced that its next game will be an open-world RPG and that it had moved into a new office space.

Whoever is developing and wherever it takes place, Forza Horizon 4 has some big shoes to fill. Forza Horizon 3‘s Australian setting went over a treat here in Australia and we Aussies are unlikely to love any other setting as much.

For now, we’ll just have to wait until Microsoft announced Forza Horizon 4 E3 2018.
