Bethesda congratulates PlayStation on the launch of Shadow of the Colossus

Sometimes we forgot that the people who make video games are also fans of video games. Shadow of the Colossus was released for PS4 this week and due to the similar names, Bethesda congratulated PlayStation with some really cool, custom artwork. Check it out below.

The image shows B.J. Blazkowicz in the foreground with Shadow of the Colossus’ third Colossus Gaius standing above the ruins of a city. The Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus full moon sits in the background with Nazi zeppelins flying high.

The image is a great mashup of both properties and makes a great play on the use of Colossus in both titles.

It’s heartening to see such a nice gesture from one developer to another and goes to show that Shadow of the Colossus is a game that transcends genre and appeals to all fans of video games.
