Take a walk through history with Assassin’s Creed: Origins’ Discovery Tour

Ubisoft is expanding the way players play Assassin’s Creed. It will introduce the new Discovery Mode in Assassin’s Creed: Origins in 2018. Coming as a free update to Assassin’s Creed: Origins, Discovery Mode uses the game to teach a history lesson.

Discovery Mode will enable players to explore Ancient Egypt without enemies, objectives or time constraints. Guided tours will be offered that have been curated by historians and Egyptologists. These tours will give players a deeper insight into life during Ptolemaic Egypt. The topics covered will include the Great Pyramids, Cleopatra and the science of mummification.

Jean Guesdon, Creative Director of Assassin’s Creed Origins said the Discovery Mode was “a dream come true” for the development team. Assassin’s Creed “has always explored pivotal moments in history,” he said and hoped fans would enjoy the educational experience through Assassin’s Creed: Origins Discovery Mode.

Assassin’s Creed: Origins will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on October 27, 2018.
