Final Fantasy XIV is celebrating its fourth birthday in style

FInal Fantasy XIV is celebrating its fourth year of release with two weeks of special events. Following the release of the second expansion — “Stormblood” — Final Fantasy XIV is marking the milestone with a livestream and additional content.

On September 2, a special 14-hour livestream will be held by the developers. The stream will include the 38th instalment of the ”Letter from the Producer LIVE’ series. The developers will hold special discussions with fans and there will also be some special guests.

A first look at Patch 4.1 content will also feature in the livestream. Final Fantasy XII Director Yasumi Matsuno will join Director Naoki Yoshida to discuss the upcoming 24-player alliance raid. Matsuno is writing the scenario for the raid, titled “Return to Ivalice.”

A special Final Fantasy XIV panel will be held on September 2 at PAX West. Koji Fox from the localisation team will host the panel which will air on Twitch between 6-7am AEST.

In-game celebrations for the anniversary have already begun. “The Rising” seasonal event is in full swing and includes activities to take part in and rewards to be earned. The Mega Mog Station Sale is also currently on and will end on September 26. Players can find items for up to 30% off. For more details, check the website.
