Ubisoft reveals season pass and DLC plans for Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle

Ubisoft’s whacky mash-up for Switch, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle isn’t even out yet, but already it has a robust post-launch plan.

On August 29, when it launches, players will be able to purchase a season pass on the Nintendo Switch eShop. At the time of writing Ubisoft hasn’t provided a price, but we have followed up with a representative who’s assured us that a price will be announced before release. It is priced at $19.99 USD so we can expect it to be around $29.95 AUD.

The season pass will grant access to three pieces of DLC which will be available at launch, in spring and in 2018 respectively. At launch, players will gain access to eight special steampunk weapons, each with their own stats.

In spring, brand new single-player challenges and co-op challenge maps will test players’ skills even further. Finally, in 2018, all new story content will become available.

The season pass will be available on launch, August 29.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is exclusive to Nintendo Switch.
