Dishonored 2 reportedly suffering performance issues on PC

PC players have been posting to Dishonored’s sub-reddit, complaining that Dishonored 2 is suffering performance issues, and not the kind that can apparently be cured with a nasal spray.

Many players are complaining of stuttering frame rates and general issues which make the experience less than stellar. Arkane Studios is investigating the issues with Creative Director Harvey Smith tweeting that the studio was aware of the problems.

A day-one patch for consoles doesn’t apply to the PC version as Smith revealed the contents of the patch are already built into the PC version. Some users believe that the issues are caused by TXAA anti-aliasing, with one player posting on Twitter that having TXAA enabled, while using an Nvidia GTX 1080, the framerate took a significant hit.

Stay tuned for more updates.

Dishonored 2 is available now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Read our initial thoughts here.
