Resident Evil 7’s combat knife and game saves teased

Capcom has released two new videos as part of their 10-part series, teasing elements of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.

The first video (above) shows off the new save system utilised by the title. Like the typewriter before it, RE 7’s recorder allows players to save their game. In the video, it doesn’t look like you’ll need an item to save, like the Ink Ribbon, but being just a teaser, more information may be revealed.

The second video shows the franchise’s trusty combat knife. Remember choosing Chris in Resident Evil and having to fight that first zombie with nothing but a knife? That was scary. Now imagine doing that in first-person. In VR. Nightmare fuel.

In Vol. 4 (directly above) the knife is shown to be used not only for chopping stuff, but also to slice through tape and open up a locked cabinet.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is coming to PC, PS4, PS VR and Xbox One on January 24, 2016.
